Three colours, exactly as in Sonia Delaunay's "Le Bal Bullier", 1913. On the canvas: dancers in simultaneous motion, orange against blue, green disks turning. Colour doesn't illustrate. It moves. Two years later Kandinsky would write that yellow-orange is "a cry", that blue is "a descent toward the infinite". This bouquet holds the same chromatic tension. Contrast that doesn't stop.
Leucospermum, native to the Cape of Good Hope, holds in water for up to two weeks. Its needle-like structure isn't petal in the strict sense — it's a dense capitulum, hundreds of tiny flowers compressed into a sphere. That density is its light. A flower that lives longer than a peony, but does not open. It holds.
Delphinium needs height. ~85 cm tall, free line, clean vertical. Not a bedside-table flower. A presence for large rooms: a Haussmannian landing, a high-ceilinged console, a corner of a living room deliberately left empty until something like this arrives. Architecture, not decoration.
